Not at all.
I don’t think you can truly “grasp” anything in the Qur’an without having the open heart and mind ready to completely become one with the message written within the book and that readiness transcends language barriers. The Qur’an has been translated into so many different languages in order to make it possible for us all to appreciate the word of God and whether that...

Naseem: What about Samira?
Me: Threesomes were made for nights like this.

Anonymous asked: What do you think of Muslim women...
rumiandshit:
Hiding women away and not allowing them to be involved in discussions that have to do with them or their children is not only wrong, it’s also detrimental to the Muslim community. The women of the community are our mothers, our first teachers. They are the ones at home with the children and raising the next generation, if they don’t deserve to have a say then I don’t know who does....

Things I don't need people to tell me:

Whether I am oppressed or not by my religion. I can figure that out on my own, thanks.
It is now my duty to endure ignorance with a smile because questions like, “Do you wear that thing in the shower?”, “Is Osama your uncle?” and “Did you get married at 12??” are legitimate questions.
Wearing a scarf/hijab is a sign of my oppression and this is America so I am...

He thinks he is a track runner and goes full speed in any direction and I’m so scared he’s going to crash into a wall or table … or anything at all.
He takes after his dad …and by that I mean he’s accident prone as hell and doesn’t think past what he wants to do at the moment hahaha

Yes, we can not take them off. We are born with them just like you guys are born with hair. The scarves grow out of our scalps, didn’t you know? Actually it’s really similar, it takes a lot of effort to keep our hijabs so nice.
We have to wash them:
Blow them dry:
And style them:
Hope I helped :)
I CAN NOT BREATHE HAHAHAHAHA

If I try really hard I can almost smell the breeze floating over the ocean and caressing me just like it did my fathers and mothers before me. I can hear the laughter of the children running through my feet while I carry a basket full of vegetables I want to add into my stew. It’s the best stew in this village. That’s how I won the heart of my husband. Oh, you should meet my...

If their opinion is asked? Yes.
If not? No.
I’m not gonna give my opinion unasked about pregnancy, abortions, periods, hijab, girl fights or anything else that I will never go through in my life but women will. It’s like advising a doctor on how to do surgery when the closest you’ve been to med school was health class.
Naseem, I love you.

Advice from Saghira on meeting Naseem's older...
Me: I'm nervous, I think they'll probably hate me.
Me: -Waiting for her to tell me they won't and I'm great-
Saghira: Well.... I mean I'm sure that....
Saghira: .........
Me: ......
Saghira: Samira, just try not to talk too much. When you start going there's no stopping you and you'll say something crazy and they won't get to know the sweet girl that you are, just the wild one that comes out when you talk too much.
Me: ....
Saghira: Oh and sweety, please don't eat too much. You are a guest, not a starving child in Africa.
Saghira: And try not to do that weird thing.
Me: What weird thing?
Saghira: That thing where you talk and insult everyone in the room at the same time.
Me: Thank you, mom.
Saghira: I love you.

I just wanted to make my own “congrats” post to Samira and Naseem on their engagement! May Allah bless you both with a lifetime of happiness and craziness. You guys are such a beautiful couple, mashallah and you won’t throw your cuteness in us single peoples faces as much as your brother/sister (in law) Isam and Carmen, hahaha.
Anyway I am really happy for you guys and can not...

I was walking out of the women’s bathroom and trying to organize the stuff I had in my hand. While doing this, I dropped my favorite pen that I got as a graduation present. It has my name on it and everything guys, it’s really beautiful. I need to explain that to you because what comes next probably will make you question my decision making.
The pen rolls under the door to the...
Samira: I hate that I lose my tan in the winter. I love being brown you know?
Me: No I don't know. I'm so white all the time, I can't even tan it doesn't work. I just wanna be tan for once.
Black girl sitting at table near by: You should ask this white chick in my Chemistry class what she does because one day she came in and had gone from Lindsay Lohan to Gabrielle Union. Her ass was as black as me!

Thanks for still following me :) I appreciate it.
I feel the same about Gay Muslims as I do any Muslim that doesn’t fit the “mainstream” idea of Islam. Their life, their choices and their judgement is not up to me to decide. I follow a lot of the Muslim Tumblrs on here that are homosexual and I that has definitely opened my eyes to how similar the struggle of each Muslim - despite...

Female Muslim Leaders Throughout The Times →
locamuslimah:
Some white women love to tell other people how oppressed they are without realizing that they are just as oppressed as the “helpless” people they are trying to ..erm..liberate.
Oppression is more than a country that tells women they have to cover their heads and faces. Oppression is also a country that hammers into the minds of young girls that being fat is bad, being different is...

You can not force someone to change. I need to learn that. I need to act on it. I can’t make you the person that I want and I fell in the love with the person you were. But years have gone by and that person should have grown with me. We can’t stay the same forever, nothing stays the same forever.
I have so many regrets but converting to Islam is...

no matter what you think, your feet are ugly
nail polish or not, I promise they’re disgusting
I hate toes, and it creeps me out when they’re not in height order
I’m really emotional about feet
I once nearly vomited looking at someones feet
Please wear socks when you’re at the masjid
I have a fear of having “big feet”
I also hate flip flops

No seriously, we're not related.
Isam: I can literally make up a pick up line for anything.
Me: Congratulations.
Isam: Why you always gotta be like that? You're a hater.
Me: You just want me to give you a scenario so you can prove you can actually make up a pick up line.
Isam: Exactly. Just do it!
Me: Alright how does a guy camel pick up a girl one?
Isam: Hey habibti. One hump or two?
Me: What does that even mean? Is he asking her if she prefers a camel with one or two humps or is he asking her if she prefers to be humped once or twice?
Isam: Shut the fuck up. You ruin everything.
Me: I'm just saying, he'd probably need to clarify because if she says one and he humps her once he's probably going to get hit if she actually meant she prefers camels with one hump..
Isam: Are you done Bill Nye the joke killer guy?
Behind every beautiful thing, there’s some kind of pain.

When he asked what songs this little girl goes, “ASS ASS ASS ASS ASS ASSS!!!!!”
